Our program goals & Mission
A youth mentorship program consisting of ages 12-19, to ensure and restore self-confidence and self-esteem; to reduce any/all feelings of possible isolation; to instill knowledge and awareness of problem solving and decision making strategies; to improve coping skills; to project problem solving skills through application; to teach non-violent discipline; to provide training in dealing with family crisis; to promote growth in an independent, non-judgmental warm atmosphere; to provide job training skills; and to instill life skills principles through leadership and guidance.
“Be Free Before you get Free” A re-entry mentorship program consisting of juvenilesand adults. Working (3) stages: Before – In – After release. This program will aid and foster the planning, re-planning, development, and redevelopment of life skills, education, social skills, vocational training skills, emotional and restoration of self-esteem and confidence in order to promote a healthy individual, as well as increase improvement and combat community deterioration and secure adequate safety. The mentor will work closely with the individuals and their family members, to maintain compliance with the justice system and secure positive relations both inside and outside of the prison or juvenile detention center.
