Social Enterprise: This is our next step of what we plan to do. However in 2015, we will begin to work with our youth by giving them a forum to hear their voices. Next, we will begin to form a Jr. Human Relations Council that will pilot in the city of Trenton-2015. Also, slated for 2015 are a host of symposiums on race--Stay Tuned!
African-American Institute of Change: This program provides workshops, trainings and mentoring. M.E.F. focus for the African-American Institute of Change is to train, empower and encourage. The cultural disconnect, indifference or racism exhibited by many teachers not just those of Caucasian persuasion toward black students contribute significantly to the achievement gap and to the disproportionate percentage of black boys who are suspended, expelled, who are placed in special education, or who dropout. Our goal is to educate Educators, Resource Workers on the cultural significance and difference of teaching African-American youth especially males. The mission is to improve and protect the lives of African American children, by focusing on the health, child welfare, education, and family support services and parenting.
